Haris (Chrysostomos) Doukas has served as Mayor of Athens since 2024. He is a mechanical engineer and a Professor at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. He has authored more than 150 scientific publications in international journals, including Nature, as well as significant monographs on energy, the environment and operational research. He has received awards from both Greek and international institutions, and he participates as an expert in global networks dedicated to clean energy and the climate transition.
