Gerasimos Siasos has served as Rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens since 2023 and is a Professor of Cardiology. He has previously been Chair and Vice-Chair of the NKUA’s School of Medicine and a visiting professor at Harvard and MIT. His research focuses on molecular cardiology, diabetes mellitus and vascular pathophysiology, with more than 430 publications and a substantial number of citations in the international scientific literature.
